Bespoke Copper Lampshades - Pomegranate Fruit Pattern

When I get a notification saying I’ve had an enquiry through my website, I actually do a mini jig. I LOVE it. Mainly because it usually means that I get to work closely with a customer, rather than them ordering something that I’ve created, they have something else in mind. Better still, a custom lampshade is the bees knees - that’s where a customer sends me their fabric of choice and I turn it into a lampshade of their choosing. And this custom lampshade was just like that.

This wonderful customer wanted to use some fabric that she had to make two replacement shades for two lamp stands she already had. After a few conversations, she settled on two 30cm copper interior lampshades. She wanted a particular depth which is no problem as all my lampshades are made to order - 21cm deep.

The lovely fabric that she sent to me was called ‘Pomegranate’ by Textra and features a large, bold pattern that works so well on this size of lampshade. Apples, pomegranates, grapes, cherries, pears and raspberries are littered across the lampshade, making it really homely and friendly in design. The fabric is a mixture of greens, oranges and reds, and complements the copper interior really well.
