Bespoke Lampshade Case Study
One of my favourite parts of making lampshades is making bespoke orders for my customers! Recently, this has evolved to now include Copper interior lampshades, too! This is where a customer sends me the fabric they would like transforming into a lampshade and I make the lampshade to order for them. You can choose the diameter, height and whether it is a ceiling lampshade or table lampshade.
Recently, I had a customer contact me as they were looking for a bespoke lampshade to be made as a commemorative gift for their girlfriend, of a trip to the Cotswolds. My customer had had some fabric printed already with some beautiful illustrations of Cotswold destinations, by an artist. The illustrations were really unique and set on a white background.
We had some conversations on the best size that would showcase the illustrations most effectively. We settled on a 25cm diameter lampshade with the standard height of 20cm.
Once the positioning was approved, I set about making the lampshade and pulling it together for the final piece. I think it’s fair to say that both of us were very pleased!
