Discover Animal Patterns
Last February, I went on a sewing course and learned how to make a small make-up bag - these little beauties are perfect for make-up, cosmetics or for all of your bits and bobs. Everyone needs one of these bags because they are the ultimate in handiness!
I love finding new fabric and new ideas. One of the most fun types of fabric are animals - not animal print so much, but finding different patterned animal fabrics. Below are some of my animal bag ranges, most of which are available for you to purchase on my Etsy shop.
This pinky fox fabric bag is so fun! It’s made from fabric from John Lewis, and I love the Scandinavian black tree pattern interspersed with the cute fox faces.
In more of a light denim fabric, the Giraffe bag is the perfect gift. It’s a soft fabric, with simple but effective line drawings of giraffes. I may like this one because my friends always say that I look like a giraffe! :)
I also love bigger animal prints, which look most effective on cushions or bags for maximum impact. The Polar Bear Cushion is really fun; it’s great for a kid’s room or nursery.
The “Having a Whale of a Time” cushion uses a similar illustrative design. The Whale design is so simple and effective, and is really popular on my shop.
Finally, to continue the Giraffe theme, here is my Giraffe cushion. It’s a great neutral option!
Which is your favourite? Looking forward to hearing your ideas and comments :)
